Apparently it’s not plagiarism if you just steal from a blog

A sud­den spate of out­right pla­gia­rism from blogs by the “more main­stream” or “big­ger” media seems to be pop­ping up in many dis­parate loca­tions. Per­haps we’re enter­ing a new phase of the tran­si­tion, in which the old media believe quot­ing with­out attri­bu­tion is some­how anal­o­gous to link­ing?

I doubt it. I expect the authors and edi­tors who copied are just lazy and rude.

Oh, and an amus­ing splog­ger writes:
