Nature’s to blame (though not God, interestingly enough)

Prediction du jour: The economy will suddenly be acknowledged by the administration to be tanked, flushed, hosed. Not because of policy, but because of the immense damage of Hurricane Katrina. Poor insurers. Poor oil industry. Poor disaster victims.

They are the administration’s excuse.

Just watch.

  1. As we say in New Orleans, Ya, you right!

The Christian Right actually blamed the hurriance on my family. I wonder if Bush will pick up on this. (My uncle hosts this huge gay even that was going to happen.)

  2. It doesn’t help me one jot, nor the merest tittle, to have been reading antebellum accounts of economic and social conditions leading up to the early 1860s last night.…

We might just be very, very hosed.
