So he is staring at it, changing random crap, and recompiling to see what happens.

Not. Him. Either.

There are correct words for this. The word is not ennuitic. The word is not frustrating. Not ridiculous. Not unproductive. Not even exasperating.

I don’t think the word is an English word. It would need to encompass all of those.

This is the sort of thing that makes me feel bad, on so many levels, about graduate school. For me, for the instructor, for the System. All broken. All stuck, each with the other.
