1. regard­ing book pric­ing (& mar­kets for thinly traded things in gen­eral), I recall over­hear­ing a con­ver­sa­tion at a local book shop, regard­ing a title that had come in and sold quickly -

   “we didn’t make much money on it, but you can’t argue with the turn”

   I sup­pose if you’re in the busi­ness of build­ing inven­tory, you might have a dif­fer­ent per­spec­tive on the world than if you were look­ing to move things in and out rapidly.
